I was admitted early March but I know some people still haven’t been accepted. Wanted to give you all some hope, I know a lot of people that still haven’t heard back and they have near perfect GPA’S that have gotten into other UC’s. There is still hope! 
@jdsam23 I don’t think you will enjoy the commute from Orange County to riverside. Takes about an hour when there is no traffic. You will be taking the 91 freeway, which sucks! Ask anyone who lives in the Inland area. lol. Living near campus will be easier. Riverside is more expensive in terms of renting, you can try finding a place in Moreno Valley, it’s cheaper and not that far from riverside. I live in Moreno Valley and takes me with traffic about 15 mins to get to UCR and maybe less than 10 without traffic.
@hannahsnumber2 I was also admitted as an anthropology major! Still waiting from UCI as well! Starting to worry!
@kristyalene I’ve lived in the riverside area all my life. It’s not that bad! There are good parts and bad. I live in Moreno Valley which is the next city from riverside and in my opinion, I find it’s much safer than riverside. It’s not that far either, 10-15 mins depending on which part of Moreno Valley.
@hbanana123 Thank you for the info, all my friends from L.A are saying about the same thing maybe i can make it work for a little bit until we can find a place closer to UCR
To anyone that has gotten accepted and submitted their SIR, are you able to register for the Orientation? I keep getting emails and alerts for it but when I got to register the page doesn’t seem to work or be available?
I’ll probably call admissions tomorrow.
Also, how long did it take everyone to get their acceptance packet? I’m still waiting
ugh its april 29th and I’m still waiting. does anyone know if they’ll still be giving notifications through may? when i called earlier in the month they said they’d be giving decisions through the end of april but when i looked at last years thread they were still giving acceptances through the first few weeks of may.
Hey everyone. Just got off the phone with the admissions office. The new last date for notification is MAY 9TH by 5pm

Still waiting on UCR and UCI.
My backup school is SFSU and I’ve been admitted. If I don’t hear from either school by tomorrow should I go ahead and accept admission to SFSU?

@danicabrynne I went to Highlander Day and they had a booth about Orientation, and I asked if it was a glitch or it wasn’t up yet. They told me they hope to have it up to actually register by the first week of May and that we’ll get an email when it’s available.
I got the dreaded colorful tabs and error message again
I got the email about highlander day as well. Does that mean we were accepted or what?
I am still waiting for UCR… I called the admissions and financial office and we should know by May 10! Remember that transfer SIR deadline is June 1st. Also… if you are like which did not complete IGTC or one or two prereqs try to to think positive and maybe staying another year at your college is not a bad idea… this will help raise your GPA and get accepted by other universties.
