how did you get the apartment?
@egriselle I just pay the secure deposit. I still do not have guarantee spot. But it is recommended to do this process early that way you have a better chance!
@faithcareer have you received any reply on the housing application? I applied but didn’t know we could pay the deposit.
Hey I was looking around and I could not find a hard date for the last day of notification of acceptance off of the waitlist? Does anybody know when the last day waitlist transfers will be notified of acceptance? Earlier in the thread people were saying that UCR is going to still be sending out admission notifications throughout the month. So I dont know if thats a good thing for me being on the waitlist or a bad thing? Thanks for the help everyone!
@Ghost3262 i called them and they said it will be couple weeks. i believe it would be early June or late May

@NewSocio I believe its around that july - august but you have to schedule an appt but it seems as though the transfer orientation appt scheduling isn’t available yet. correct me if i’m wrong though.

question for you guys who have been accepted: if you submit a housing contract for the apartments this fall and they approve you and place you in an apartment, do you have to live in the apartments or can you decide not to and live off campus?
@engrchika I have not heard back from them I believe it should be around next week but I can always call them. :-c
@cub2usc I believe if you do a UCR apartment contract that is only for the UC apartments. An off campus apartment should have its separate contract. Hope this helps. <:-P
@faithcareer thanks for the response! but i mean if you submit a housing application and UCR offers you housing, are you committed to living on campus or can you cancel your request and live off campus?
@cub2usc Oh ok… in that case you can cancel the application and if you already paid the secure deposit which is $200 then you will get a refund but there is a $75 fee. But just in case the UCR housing phone number is (951) 827-6350
To those who are still waiting for a decision! I called admissions today and asked specifically when will decisions be finalized. They told me by this friday.

I’m a sophomore transfer and just accepted a housing contract for a 4 bedroom/2 bath apartment in Glen Mor. Someone may have already asked about this. Does anyone know anything about glen more pros cons? Is anyone else planning on living there too?

@chanrei may I ask, what is your GPA? And are you transferring from a uc?
@faithcareer Please let us know how it goes this weekend! I have finals next week so I wont be making the trip down from northern California. I really want to tour the engineering facilities… I’m coming down memorial day and touring the 26th of May though. So excited!
