UC Riverside Bioengineering vs U of AZ Biomedical Engineering

My son has been accepted to both of these schools. We have visited both campuses and like both schools. He has been accepted to the honors program at U of AZ and invited to apply for the honors program at UCR. We live in CA, so UCR will cost significantly less than U of AZ.

Is there a significant difference between Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering? Is one school/program better than another? Any information that can be provided will be greatly appreciated.

Bioengineering may be biomedical engineering, but it may also be a broader program with less medical related required or optional content. Look at the curricula and course offerings and compare.
