***UC Riverside Class of 2023 - Applicant and Decision Thread***

I just wanted to start a thread for new applicants. Good luck everyone!

Hey, I’m currently a Junior in Montclair Highschool (Mid-Low competitive school)
UC GPA is 3.8 Weighted and capped. I took the PSAT in August and received 1170 and I would definitely improve that score.
In the PSAT, my Reading score was 28, Writing and Language was 29, and math was 28.5.
I want to Major in Mechanical Engineering and Biology as my alternative major
I rank 61 out of 681 students
First-Generation student (I will be the first College Student from my father’s side of the family)
I will Graduate in white if that helps (plz help) (also CSF member)
I live in San Bernadino County
Passed AP Chinese with a 5
EC: 3 years of Baseball, 2 years of Robotics club, took all honors/AP freshmen to now. Currently, I’m building a 6.5 Horsepower go-kart from scratch and I hope this go-cart would improve my chance of being admitted as an ME. Also attended Health Professions Conference 2018 twice. Participated in Pomona Valley Hospital (Received a Certificate of Completion) and been on Principle’s Honor Roll for a few times.
AP tests passed: Biology (3) and WHAP (3), Currently taking APUSH (A), AP physics (A-) and AP English (B)
I want to know my chance or what I could do to improve my chance of admission
Hardships: my parents are constantly arguing with each other during my sophomore year and lived in constant worrying about them divorcing but they are talking with each other once more.
Anything helps! thank you!

When do decisions come?

Any decisions? Son applied to pre business.

Portals say that decisions come in March. Anticipating…

@jguo25776 I have a 3.89 UC GPA and 1170 on the SAT and pretty similar extracurriculars and Honors/AP classes as you, if I get in, I will let you know because you might have a similar chance to mine.

This is the deadest applicant thread I’ve ever seen lol. Did anybody get accepted yet? I’ve been reading threads from last year and many people were getting early acceptances. I just got an email saying that decisions are coming in early March, but I’m wondering if it’s this Friday at midnight due to other threads? Keep ya girl updated. Applied as a television & film major.

@hssenior0802 lolol i got the email too i hope it’s this friday bc i’m tired of waiting for decisions ?.

@sagh527 I felt that, I’ve been so anxious this whole month and I can’t wait to just know

They need to hurry it up already, I’m dying from anticipation

Anticipation is off the charts

Off topic but S just received his decision from UCSC. Check your emails and portals if you also applied there.

One more day guys. How are you holding up? Did you guys get into any other colleges?

Haven’t gotten into any UCs yet, got into san francisco state. I heard from friends who go to riverside that they didn’t get their acceptance until late March, but I hope it’s different this year.

@hssenior0802 Is there a confirmed release tomorrow?

There’s no confirmed release. One person from office of admissions said they’re already coming out and another said they start coming out mid-March.

We called the admissions office yesterday and were told that they would begin releasing admission decisions on a rolling basis on March 1st.

@2km2km I don’t know if there’s a confirmed released, but I based it off of previous years that had posted on here when they got their acceptance. I believe in 2016 they got there’s at 12 midnight on the 1st and 2017 got there’s on the 5th. But I believe it’s early March regardless. I’m really, really hoping for tomorrow.

Guys, just called the admissions office. They said that decisions are going to be posted tomorrow but not everybody is gonna get a decision tomorrow, it’s gonna be rolling. So I recommend checking tomorrow anyways and if you don’t see anything, just keep checking throughout the month.

are you guys staying up to midnight? idk what to do ?
