How did they notify you about the scholarship? Is there any email regarding that or where did you find this information on portal?

Daughter got into Pre-Business, checked portal, no email

S22 got accepted into Data Science program.

Instate (Bay Area)
UC GPA: UW 3.79; WC 4.13; FW 4.21
A-G courses: 23 years worth
AP classes: 5 (10 semesters)
College courses: 2 (CC and Stanford Summer Program)
Lots of ECs, including tutoring math and cyber security research internship
Some work experience in senior year

He also got into SJSU Software Engineering, so he (we) have to agonize between two good options. Waiting to hear from all other UCs.

Daughter got accepted today into the neuroscience program. She’s an ELC student.

My daughter just got the email! Accepted to Political Science. ELC, 3.97 UW, 4.34 WC GPA.

No. Depends on your stats. If you near the top end or higher than the middle 50% range ( 3.69 - 4.11) then you are a likely admit

Is that UW or UC capped gpa? There is always a chance but the % chance will depend on various factors considered for admission. See Gumbymoms first post in this forum

2020 Capped Weighted UC GPA Middle 25-75 percentile for admitted students: 3.65-4.11

Application review:

  • Very important : Academic GPA, Personal Insight questions.
  • Important: Rigor of secondary school record
  • Considered : Character/personal qualities, Extracurricular activities, First generation college student, State residency, Talent/ability, Volunteer work, Work experience
  • Note : A fixed weight point system comprehensive review model that culminates in an Academic Index Score to determine admission for incoming freshmen.
