Is anyone able to view their financial aid offer? I don’t see mine.

Objective:[ list]
[] SAT I (critical reading+mathematics): 1450 (720 + 730) (710 writing)
[] ACT: no
[] CSU GPA: 5.0 I believe. Still a little fuzzy on the weighting on these different GPAs. My actual is UW:4.0 W:~4.7
[] AP (place score in parenthesis): Gov (5), World(5), BC Calc(5), Lang and comp (4), Physics 1(4)
[] IB (place score in parenthesis): none
[] College courses? If so, list them.: none
[] Senior Year Course Load: AP Human Geo, AP Chemistry, AP Physics 2 (really 1 and 2 combined. I switched schools over the summer so things for weird for me), AP Comp Lit, Programming
[] How were your personal statements? Rate out of 10, including the additional comments section: 8/10 and I didn’t include much in the additional comments section aside from a brief description of the effects that moving had on my schedule, GPA, extracurriculars. Overall I thought my essays were pretty great. With a little tweaking, my common app essay fit perfectly for one question and that was my best essay of all the apps.

[/ul]Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: GPA, course load, AP scores
[] Weaknesses: SAT 1, lack of SAT 2s, possibly lack of official leadership or club activity. Most of my extracurriculars were not at all associated with my school aside from sports
[] Are you going to UC San Diego?: not sure. It’s my # 2
[] If not, where are you going?: I’m waiting to hear back from Berkeley. Stanford was my #1 but I didn’t get in.
[/ul]General Comments/Additional Information:
it’s a relief to get in somewhere! This was my first acceptance. I was accepted to Muir college for my desired major mechanical engineering. To be honest, I’m not sure why I wasn’t considered to be part of the top 30%. Statistically speaking I’m much stronger than a lot of people on here. Any ideas?I don’t intend to sound arrogant and snobby, but I’m genuinely curious. Could my extracurriculars be that much weaker? I played soccer through HS and volleyball last year (both varsity last year), was active in my church and with 2 youthgroups, started a club at my new school this year, joined their ultimate Frisbee team, and had an internship at the college. No real job experience, which may be a big factor?
@firstsax I’m able to view mine. You have to go to the bottom of the congrats page and click on continue and then you should see an area called myAid or something along those lines
@firstsax scroll down on the portal page that shows you got in, click on “Continue to review my admissions offer”, then click on “My financial aid offer”, then on “continue to awards”, and it should show you a breakdown of total cost, parent contribution, UCSD grant, loan offers, work-study, etc

[/ul]General Comments/Additional Information:
I’m honestly happy to get into UCSD. I’ve heard nothing bad except REVELLE but I would still be down to go if my other schools do not accept me. To people from the future reading this, relax about the college admissions process. As daunting as it seems, it is not that bad. Just a lot of waiting and even more gratification knowing that a school wants you to join them.

I am so blessed to be accepted here! I will def be touring here to check out the campus! But the cost is a bit too much since they’re giving me OOS tuition instead of in-state tuition, even though I’ve been living in Cali for 15 years
@chaterine Yes I did mean UCSD, it sucks I can’t edit the damn thread. -_- I was in charge of the SDSU decisions as well.

I’m probably gonna get doxxed with all this unique information. Anyway, congrats to everyone else who got in and good luck to anyone that’s waiting for their decision in the next few batches!
@mdorbust I don’t think so. My impression is that some top % of acceptances have been released with more to come. I may be wrong, but I’d imagine they would update it with a rejection if you were rejected (that’s what Stanford did to me!) Doesn’t make much sense to wait to release all the decisions though, if they’ve already made all the decisions
Accepted!!
