It’s actually not so crazy, since UCB has holistic admission, and SJSU is non holistic and also extremely competitive for certain majors. Some UCB EECS admits don’t have the extremely high grades that are required for SJSU admission, while still being astounding applicants in other ways.

I would also add that SJSU uses CSU GPA which is similar to capped UC gpa but UCB uses Uncapped Weighted GPA.

On the flip side, I have often seen kids get rejected by most of the UCs but get accepted by CalPoly.

Congratulations everyone - it was definitely no small accomplishment getting accepted!! If all of you Computer Science folks who were also accepted at SDSU - but don’t plan to go there now that you have been accepted to UCSB - could very kindly decline your offers from SDSU now, it would be greatly appreciated :smiley: Thanks in advance!

how do you see your financial aid? I clicked the “check my financial aid status” at the top but it just comes to a blank screen every time
