Lots of community work and strong essays I would say

@stressnsad I felt the same way. I was 90+% sure i’d get in, but I looked at UCSC’s website to explain on a page for rejected applicants for fall 2018, and it says the average GPA was like 3.97 and avg sat and act were like 1350 and 29. :frowning: I got waitlisted too here.

I honestly thought I would get in. Like I got in to University of British Columbia as an international student which has a lower acceptance rate but got rejected from UCSC

Rejected(International) with 1160 SAT and good Academics, strong EC’s and unique essays. Quite a surprise after Davis’ acceptance.
