Perhaps, but they could simply say that proof of registration is required to access the site?
Yes, they could state that somewhere, but we know how “word spreads” (or doesn’t), so then they might be faced with disappointed families who drove X hours to be there, asking nicely to come in and take a look, etc. When we attended the campus tours, they let “stragglers” join the tours (those who didn’t officially sign up), so maybe the expectation was set then that if you show up, you’ll get in. Who knows…
Hopefully, someone is checking the registered participant list to see if the student is actually attending UCSC in the Fall.

Just heard back from the Asst Director of Engagement. No plans to add additional dates or locations. She highly recommends the waitlist.
