UC SAT Score Reporting

Hello,

I am applying to a couple of UC schools.
I've taken a couple of SAT 1 exams, but only want to submit one of the scores.
Is it okay for me to "tick off" the scores I do not want to submit? Would this hinder my chance of acceptance in any way? Or is it fine to do so?

Please help!

No, you aren’t allowed to do that. Refer to the UC admission pages online.

hey @brownparent, I’m really sorry but I can’t seem to find the page that says that, are you willing to link me?

Sure
<a href=“University of California Counselors”>University of California Counselors;

Advise students to have the testing agencies report all scores. We will use the highest scores from a single test administration.

@BrownParent‌ thanks, sorry for the late reply but what if i got the two same exact scores on both tries? also it just says “advises”… I don’t think that means that it is mandatory to submit all scores, right?

if anyone else can answer the question, they can answer too

If you got the exact same score both times, there is no harm in including both, so you might as well just send both.

@pizzabagel‌ i know i am overthinking this, but the date in which i took the two tests are months apart. im reporting another sat score in december, and i want them to know i can do much better by showing the one that i took a long time ago. if i report the old one, do you think itll still be okay?

The page link you were given above is designed for what perssons such as counselors should tell students to do when applying and the “advise students to have the testing agencies report all scores” means that counselor should tell students that they must submit all scores and it does not mean you have an option to do otherwise. If you had done your necessary reading through all the pages of the UCPathway site that deals with applying for admisison you would have found this page: http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/freshman/requirements/examination-requirement/index.html</a> , which actually tells applicants what they are required to do and one of those requirements is:

“In the College Board’s Score Choice module, ensure that all scores are sent to UC. We require all scores and will use the highest scores from a single administration.”
