Ok so here's the deal: I'm a a digital media arts major (think graphic design/motion graphics) and I'm looking to transfer out of my current jr. college next fall.
I applied to UCLA, UCSantaCruz, UCIrvine, UCDavis, Otis College of Art & Pratt Institute.
Assuming I get into all schools, which one seems like a better fit?

I'm really leaning towards UCLA because of its reputation and it's lower cost of tuition (compared to private schools), but will its Design Media Arts program really prepare me for what I want to do?
Otis and Pratt are great schools, but do their high price tags really justify them? Will I really learn more there and make better connections than, let's say, at UCSC?

I'm really confused. On one hand UC's are reputable and affordable, but on the other hand I feel like private art schools, like Otis, are more hands on and teach you technical stuff more (not just theory). How good are the connections and academics for Design at UC's?

I've been at my jr college for YEARS now and I don't want to screw up and end up at the wrong school..

Thoughts?
