Posting this for a friend -- of course this survey completely misses the
interesting aspect of her record, which is that she attended Harvey Mudd
College for one year as a physics major, went to Otis College of Art and
Design for four years in fine arts, and then, deciding art school was a
waste given her interests, quit just shy of a degree to return to community
college and fill in lower-division computer science.

I'm not going to get any.

** Any regrets **
1) I got accepted to UCSB as a freshman with a 3.2 unweighted GPA and rejected everywhere else except UCSC and UCR. Instead of kissing their feet and taking the offer right away, I decided to go to a community college. Sometimes I think I should have just gone, and now it looks like I'm going anyway.

2) I started community college with the intent of transferring with Computer Science. I did really poorly in classes my first semester (D grade, two drops, poor GPA, etc), and then switched with during my second semester with the intent of doing a humanities major. But the damage was already done, and that first semester pretty much knocked me out any of the tier 1 UCs.

** Housing **
I want to get the college experience, so definitely on campus dorms.

Sorry to break my own rules...You guys can add : "Any Other Comments" if you wish. Thanks.

WOW Biochem major with 3.1 accepted to UCSD!!!! I didn't know it was that easy to get in there...

Yeah, it's crazy. I was freaking out thinking I must have accidentally put down that I got an A in a 55 unit class or something. UCSD is competitive enough, but I thought biochem was one of their most popular majors so I don't know how I did it. I put down I helped out at a nursing home and did a little work at a supplement company looking up studies so they could brag about their products, but I don't think those would make a big impact.

I also have a friend that doesn't even have a 3.0 (and he won't be able to get it by the end of the quarter, so he can't meet the conditions of admission) who got in to SD, but he applied for Human Development or something.

Neither of us did the guaranteed admission thing either, so we were (hell, ARE) a bit dumbstruck by it.

Ya guys its failrly easy to get into UCSD as a transfer student....

Thanks to rc251 I almost forgot UCI in a hurry...I updated the text file. Ya i got into UCI too.
