maybe they send out decisions in alphabetical order? my last name starts with L and have received nothing from all 7 campuses i applied to thus far

I know these schools have given themselves 3 more weeks to let us all know what's going on, but I am getting a little worried because I have yet to hear from anyone (including UCSC, which is practically in my backyard and admits most who apply).

I guess I am wondering if those notified later in the process are less likely to be admitted. Is that just the workings of a paranoid mind? I would like to believe they are methodically plowing through applications accepting and rejecting as they go along...

But does anyone know people who have received rejection notices from any of these schools, or have they not sent those out yet?

If not, are they waiting for...me?!? ;)

I was wondering this as well so I checked the threads posted on these boards last year. From what I could tell people were just as likely to be accepted or rejected in the later stages of decision making. Some unlucky people didn't hear from Berkeley until near mid-May. Some of which were still accepted this late.

Silver -

we have about the same GPA. I'm also a history major (there are so many of us on here!) and applied to UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, and UCSC -- last name starts with G. I'm relieved someone else is completely without answers, too. I guess we just need to have some patience...

These admissions officers are totally sadistic! LOL

Is calculus a major requirement at the School of Letters and Sciences, Middle Eastern Studies department to be more exact? I've only taken up till pre-calc II, and wanted to drop my calc course.

LOL it's really funny that everybody on these boards is a math or science major, then for some reason this thread is full of History majors. Glad to see I'm not the only one. :)

History Right Here!

Hey indie boy have you taken any of the engineering classes with Krestas at deanza? If you have how is he? I have heard alot of mixed reviews about him

Hey I'm running a bit late right now so I'll make it a quick post, but thought I'd let you guys know I got admitted to UCI this morning! My stats are posted a billion or so times already in this thread, so just do back a few pages and find them if you want to see them.

ucwannabe, I have not took any engi classes but I will in the summer.

From what my friends say, Krestas is crazy hard and does not teach that well. I have not heard any positive remarks. Actually, there was this another prof by the name - Pattas. I heard he is good, but from past 1 qtr I don't see his name on the schedules.

The thing is, you never know about the professor tilll you take him/her. Hope this helps..
