I don't care anymore, I'll check back in april 30

Not many transfer students are into UCSD yet! I was shocked that they were my first school.

got in to davis. just got the email... yay! :)

biochem and molec bio. yay! :)

I definitely never expected UCSD to take this long.

I really would like to know. seriously. ug.

Does anyone know when UCLA has typically posted decisions in years past? Particularly for engineering majors. I've been compulsively checking the site twice a day even though it says late April. I've been getting more anxious to transfer out of here as time goes on.

Nice...lot of people are getting "yes" letters...keep it up and congrats...

biochemist12, finally you got in to your safety man...is Davis your safety school?...congrats

KissingTheShadows, hello fellow engineer...I heard that last yr's and this yr's dates don't match...so don't check the site now...save your energy for later...By the way, what is your major?

Hi guys -- Don't know if anyone else has found this, but here is some really interesting information on the UC admissions process. It's from 2003-2004, and supposed to be for counselors only, but I found it on a rather detailed google search.

Interesting how many schools are willing to admit they don't consider the personal statement we slaved over at all! There are definitive answers to the competitive transfer GPA questions for each campus:

p.s. be sure you view the 2nd page of it.

WOW!! that is very surprising i thought all UCs were gonna take a look at the personal statements...

well, at least UCD sees it. :D

i hate to be a person bring up bad news but....it doesnt seem lik any one has gotten any rejection letters from the UC's.....i was juss wondering if they gave them out? i thought it wierd that i didnt see any "UC _____ rejects unite" threads. =X but yea....have they been givin out rejections? (you dont have to post urs if ur not comfortable....juss alil curious)

Niwatori -- I know what you mean. I'm a bit freaked out by it, too, as I haven't heard back from any of my schools yet. I think I'm getting more jumpy and nervous about it by the hour.

Everyone on this board has great stats, though -- so hopefully others are being rejected, but just not any of us!!

hahha yea....hopefully being on this board will have some kinda anti-rejection aura being emitted to the UCs.

there is a "i got rejected" thread on this forum:
http://soompi.com/forums/index.php?showforum=41

but i dont know if they're transfer students or freshman...

sabrina26, I saw that link earlier...ya, it sucks some UCz don't look at the P.S....

ely_113, thatz for freshies...there are 0 transfer rejects till now...

^^^in the other words, for our transfers, ppl who have not got admtted by UC__, just have been rejected?

danzzz, hopefully not...heck, it can't be true cuz i dunno any1 who got into UCSD,UCI as a CS/EE/CE major...

im very nervous
i cant believe the week already past and still didnt hear from any of the universities i was waiting (especialy davis) :(

There are so many of us still waiting, I can't imagine they've done all the acceptances and are just going to reject us all in a week or two. I think they are just incredibly slow and sadistic. LOL

Have a good weekend, all -- hope good news finds your mailboxes tomorrow morning!

About UC Davis, I wonder if they're sending out acceptances by majors because I received my acceptance as a Microbiology major yesterday and socalgirl05 also got accepted yesterday in Biological Scienes, and biochemist12 got accepted today for Biochemisty and Molecular Biology. If that's the case then there's still hope everyone!

Here's an early tip for those who applied to UCLA (which seems to be pretty much everyone on this board)..

Well I've been obsessively checking UCLA's website, even though late April is supposedly when they are going to tell us (I just can't help myself). Anyways, on the UCLA site, I've been checking the admission decisions site AND also the admitted students link. Go to the admitted transfer section and it tells you to create a pin. So anyways, I've been plugging my info into the create a pin section for the past few weeks to see if maybe they tell that update that site first.

Here's a link to make it easier.

While roaming around in the archives, I found this thread, which helps my theory.
