UCBerkeley or CSUF

Hello ! I need some serious advice on my transfer decision.

Here is the situation:

I am currently a student in a community college and I got accepted to UCBerkeley as a Econ major for spring 2014 and other universities as bus or Econ or combination major. My current dilemma is that I am staying in a place in LA county (my parents bought it) and I did not get any financial aid to attend UCB so my parents would have to fork out the full cost for attending school there. Not only that, I live by myself surrounded with a great church community that i am really attached to. Its hard for me to say goodbye if I do move to North Cal. In addition to that, I would need to take CAL 2 in a 6 week summer session to fulfill my requirement ( discussed with the admission officer).

My alternative for this would be to stay one more year in my community college and transfer to CSUF to major in Accounting instead. I would be a part of the business honors program too. It isn't as bad as i thought cause if i do attend CSUF as an accounting major, I am planning to take the CPA exam. Not to forget, much cheaper tuition fee to CSUF and living expense is pretty much covered because I have income from rent.

Do you think i should go for Berkeley with 2 or 3 years of resident tuition , living expense and separation from my beloved church community and rent out the place my parents bought. or Just stay another year and go for the accountant route in CSUF with cheaper cost and continue my active member of my church community? Please help !

What are your career goals?

I.e. do you want to be an accountant, or do you want to do things that Berkeley economics majors go on to do (see https://career.berkeley.edu/Major/Econ.stm</a> )?

Note that if you want to go to PhD study in economics, you need to take a lot more math than calculus (i.e. multivariable calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, real analysis, statistics).
