UCD Application Help

Alright, err…I’m in a bit of a predicament here.

But before you read any further, I need this question to be answered first:

Has UC Davis sent ALL application decisions to ALL prospective freshman students that applied there for 2013?

I’m asking this because I’m seeing that people have already received acceptance/rejection notifications from UC Davis and I’m wondering whether they’re still making decisions or not (I’m an UCD applicant btw).

But here’s where it gets complicated. On March 12, I received an email from UC Davis Undergraduate Admissions do-not-reply-adm@ad3.ucdavis.edu saying that I was accepted and it even had my UC student ID number code & major in it.

The odd thing about this is that this was sent to an email account of mine that had no prior relations to my UC applications/registrations (well, at least I don’t remember changing it). I have multiple email accounts and the one I use for my work/college-related business has not received a reply from UCD yet.

The next lame part of this situation is that I don’t even remember what my login ID & password is OR if I even registered for an account on the UCD admissions site at all (you guys know how busy senior year can be). When I tried to setup an account using my name, student ID number code & DOB, it says that I “may not create a new login account because [ I ] already have one.” Since I can’t even login to check on the REAL status of my UCD decision, I’m stuck scratching my head in confusion and debating whether the email is valid or not.

I know I’m going to have to resort to calling the Admissions Office but I’d like some help as to whether or not this is a scam or not.

Thanks for reading and for any help in advance.

I've never heard about this, but calling the Admissions Office would honestly give you the quickest and most reliable answer. They really are nice people, you know.

If you got the notification on the email that you're not use for UCD, then DON'T click on any link. It may fake. Just type the URL of UC Davis (ucdavis.edu) on the browser and click on the link 'Fall 09 Admission Decisions Available at MyAdmissions' on lower left of the home page.

You should see the decision on UCD web site. If nothing, then no decision yet. Comeback again next day until you know the result: accepted or rejected.

Good luck

It sounds like you would need to contact the computing services department at 530.574.HELP (4357) to reset your password and obtain your user name. In terms of the email address updating itself I'm unsure how that would happen. You can always call the office and we can verify which email address we have on file and which address was listed on the application. We, however, do not keep track of any updates that have been made.
