BTW, where do you get the information?
@Yaoxxxx from the freshman waitlist group on college confidential! And there’s no real relation, but previous years data shows that they are quite similar.
Hi I’m on the waitlist also. Getting really nervous about whether or not I am going to be admitted! Got a 4.0 this semester and called to try to update my grades incase it would make a difference for my decision and they told me that updating my grades wont do anything now and they kept saying that they highly suggest that I accept admissions at another school… Makes me think there arent many spots left…
@hopeful633 wait are you a freshman or transfer student?
Guys, think that positively. The reason that they highly recommend you to accept admissions at other schools is they are not hundred percent sure about that you can get admission from them, so they will never say please wait for the result of their waitlist admission.
@Yaoxxxx I agree, we need to think positive! But I was asking @hopeful633 if she’s a freshman or transfer because we were supposed to update our spring grades so idk why they would tell her that it won’t do anything now… they haven’t even looked at waitlists yet. and there’s no reason to freak out because they don’t even know how much space is available for waitlists yet. The SIR for transfers is due on June 1st, so they were telling you to accept other admissions offers because they HAVE to say that. Waitlists aren’t guaranteed admission so don’t let that discourage you they just don’t want you to put all of your eggs in one basket. Back to your grades though, when you submitted the waitlist statement, didn’t you add your spring grades?
I am on the transfer waitlist. When I predicted my grades I predicted that I would get lower grades than I actually ended up getting so I was hoping to be able to update them so that they could see that I ended up getting a 4.0 this semester and maybe that would make my chances of getting in higher.
Ohhh okay, something similar happened to me earlier. I called to update an “incomplete” grade from a year ago and the guy was being pretty rude and just kept telling me that waitlists aren’t their priority right now. I honestly think they are just annoyed. I’m sure they are getting 10000 calls from admitted students and freshman/transfer waitlists right now so I’m trying not to take it personally. I think their main priority are the admitted students obviously, so idk we’ll see
Btw, do you guys know if we need to send them official transcripts for high school and college grades?
@Yaoxxxx if you are trying to transfer as a sophomore you need to send them transcripts for high school and college but if you are trying to transfer in as a junior I think you just need to send college transcripts
@hopeful633 , so the transcript also need to contain spring quarter grades, right?
@Yaoxxxx yes they are due by July 1 so I’m assuming they only want you to send them if you end up getting accepted? I’m not sure though because I can’t send my transcript yet since it doesn’t have my spring grades on it yet
Has anyone heard any updates?
Nothing yet… I’m guessing it won’t be until Monday at the earliest
Did anyone else get an email from Davis asking for PDF transcripts?
did anyone elses admissions page change? Mine changed to what it looked like when I first submitted ymy application… It says theyll get back to me in late April? It no longer says “thank you for accepting our waitlist offer”
Hey mine changed too, does that mean theyll be releasing later on today?
@MD408123 I have no idea what it means… maybe that means they took the applications down to review them?
yea just hope they review it soon so i could know where im going already :
judging by last years waitlist thread peoples pages didnt change until the 8th? 2015 seemed to get theres on the 3rd of June while 2016 started after the 1st week.
