Also on the wait list ccc->uc
Major: psychology

Tag for uc Berkeley, missing 1 or 2 Davis classes
I think for right now we just cross our fingers and hope for the best. Last year about half of the wait list students got accepted, so hopefully the same happens this year.
*TAP for Berkeley, not tag
Hi guys! I too am on the waitlist and hoping for the best as UCD is my first choice!
Major: Sociology
GPA: 3.17 but I am doing really well this semester and am confident it will be going up quite about at the end of Spring.
Am I the only one stressing hard over the statement we’re supposed to write?
Hopefully a lot of people get accepted into UCLA and Cal which will clear up space… OR that people get too lazy to fill out the statement so they waitlist is short :D.
Ugh! It kills me knowing that I won’t know where I’ll be going for sure until the end of June. In the meantime I’ve put in my intent to register at UCSC.
Good luck everyone!!!
Waitlisted
Sophomore transfer
Gpa 3.43
Major: gdb
… [-O<
is there any other way to appeal besides the 200 word statement thing?
Waitlisted
Junior Transfer
GPA: 3.1~
Major: History
Somewhat dissapointed. But, UCD seems to be notorious for waitlisting. In 2015 about 74% from those who opted into the waitlist got in. In 2014 though… I believe only 9 got in from around 2000 who opted in.
Sophomore Transfer
Major: Nutrition Science
GPA: 3.53
IGETC: missing two. Bio and humanities but will be taking humanities over the summer
Pre-reqs: missing bio sequence, gen chem part 2 and ochem series
I dropped calc 1 this semester so that will probably decrease my chances on getting off the waitlist. I’m going to keep my fingers crossed though. Honestly, I was surprised that I was even waitlisted because I am missing so many pre-reqs but I am so grateful and fortunate. We will just have to see. I really do hope I could get in though.
FWIW, I (and many other people) will likely decline my acceptance, which will hopefully open up slots for the waitlisters. Good luck, everyone.
@goldencub Thanks for saying that, it gives me some hope! Best of luck wherever you chose to go!
I’ll probably decline too.
Although my TAG for UCD is approved I got Waitlisted for CS GPA : 3.5 will go down to 3.4 after this semester
you should appeal
I got accepted for CS (letters and sciences with TAG) for UC Davis
situation:
MAJOR: COMPUTER SCIENCE
GPA PRIOR TO FALL SEMESTER/QUARTER: 3.92
TAG: YES (approved)
The TAG stated that I needed to get a C or greater in all courses taken.
I got a 2.68 for this current semester/quarter.
Overall I have higher than the 3.2 required overall GPA
about 3.92
However, I got a D in Calc 1 (am retaking).
I have completed IGETC
I took classes at Evergreen Valley College (Semester) and Foothill College (Quarter)
For Fall 2015
I received the following graded:
Evergreen Valley College: (no +/- grades)
Calculus 1: D (5 units)
Chemistry 1A (general): B (5 unit)
Foothill College:
Computer Science 1A–Intro to C++: B (5 units)
History 4C (1700 to the fall of the Berlin Wall): A+ (4 units)
I have decided to take the following (all at Evergreen Valley college):
Spring 2016 (upcoming starting Feb 1st):
Comp 75: intro to object oriented programming (4 units)
This is a similar class to the one I took at Foothill. I did not have a good understanding of the concepts.
I believe this course will be taught in JAVA.
Calculus 1: first calculus class (5 units)
I have to repeat this class I received a D in
Chemistry 1B (the last general chem class) (5 units)
This will complete my science GE requirement
Summer 2016:
Calculus 2: (last calculus class before multi-variable)
I will have over 90 quarter / 60 semester units.
I have completed the math and english transfer class.
I will also complete the general ed science requirement.
I have also taken the following Honor courses:
I originally planned to take calc 2 this semester and multi-variable calculus during the summer. However, I did not pass Calc 1 to be able to follow this schedule. Also multi-variable calculus is not offered in the summer any way.
I submitted the academic update and explained the concepts I had trouble with in Calculus 1 and explained how I used the break to review and plan to pass calculus 1.
I also called the tag counselor and he explained I still have a chance and that each application in these type of situations will be looked at on a case by case basis at UC Davis.
I have to of course get a c or higher in all classes and a C in calc one that I got a D in.
that is in my contract.
Planning to appeal since I have passed all calc , LA and DE courses except calc 3 with A and also passed all programming courses ( 6 of them) with A.
@all Found some statistics pertaining to solely transfer waitlists.

Has everyone turned in their statement?? I just did yesterday and the 200 word limit was killing me! Ahhhh June can’t come soon enough!
Just declined my offer. Hopefully someone here takes my spot
So I updated my grades. But it says that you have to give an estimate of your spring grades but what if that’s not possible because you actually have no idea what your grades at all
same here, I have no idea what to put… do we put “in progress” or do we actually put estimated grades
:-SS
I just said 4.0 for all classes and luckily I actually got all 4.0s
hope this will raise chances to get admitted
