UCF Medical?

So i've been accepted to UCF and I plan to go into the medical field. I know UCF has a brand new medical school and if I decide to stay with UCF and get my undergraduate degree with them I would hope to attend their medical school.

MY QUESTION IS: Does their medical school likely only accept applicants from the Brunett Honors College? I have not currently applied for the Honors College but i would like to know if that is probably my only chance at getting into the medical school. Also how good is UCF's undergraduate medical study?

Too early to tell. UCF’s medical school is brand new, with the first med class starting this past year.

I do know (like any med school) that admission is very difficult. They had 4000 applications for the first med school class, with only 40 acceptances. Of course, the initial class all received full scholarships as part of a special inaugural program for the school. I do not think that was continuing beyond the first year.

They keys to med school are a) maintaining a high GPA b) scoring high on the MCAT. I don’t think being from an honors college will make or break you.
