I was accepted into the University of Chicago with a $5,000 scholarship. However, today I was admitted into a five year BS/MS program in industrial or financial mathematics at Worcester Polytechnic Institute with the fifth year free and a $15,000 per year scholarship. I want to major in math of some sort, probably financial. Which should I choose? Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

What about financial aid? Did you apply any?

I won’t need financial aid. It wold just allow me to get a masters in five years and pay less than UChicago. I definitely think I will choose UChicago, I’m just looking for opinions.

Would not wold, sorry.

If it helps, I’m debating with myself over whether UChicago for math with $5000 scholarship is preferable to a full ride at my decent state university. I guess it just depends… If I had an answer, I’d tell you.
