I believe they let you know. That’s certainly true for early and ED2 every year. You can check prior year social media posts to confirm.
In December they posted 7 days before they released EA/ED I decisions. An update for ED II was posted 4 days before. Let’s hope that the 12th is RD day. Crazy to think we could see something on social media very soon. I just hope they love me as much as I love them.
Are decisions usually posted on a Friday?
I think so yes
I’m thinking if we don’t hear today that decisions are coming out Friday 3/12, then most likely they are coming 3/19. What do others think?
UPDATE: We heard today! Friday 3/12 it is!!
Decisions come out on Friday 3/12 in the late afternoon!!!
yea what do you think the rd rate will be
2-3 percent?
wow I was deferred ea so its gonna be tough
I’m just guessing. But every year RD is supposed to be tough for Uchicago given that they fill so many seats EA, EDI and EDII. Given that the overall acceptance rate is about 4-6 percent, I would expect RD to be significantly lower. But who knows. Just guessing.
My brother got in RD two years ago so there is hope for some.
wow there is hope ig. Good luck to you man, I hope you get in
Thanks. Same to you. I’m not expecting to. But good luck to everyone!
Did you get an email? I checked with my son and he hasn’t received any information.
Disregard my question…he just came in and said that it is posted on twitter.
Any knowledge regarding what time decisions will come out? Late afternoon could mean anywhere from 3-7.
Apparently for EA, ED1, ED2, “late afternoon” meant 4 pm CT (5 pm ET)
hey guys!!! we’re almost there!! keep your heads up :)))
Good luck everyone
Yes good luck everyone. Manage your expectations. I know I am! Not expecting to get in since RD is so low. But best of luck everyone!
Yeah, we’re coming up on it. Is anyone else feeling jittery? I was deferred in their EA round, but wrote a (pretty good, in my opinion) LOCI to my regional admissions officer. All the same, I’ve heard anecdotal evidence that it’s really hard to get in RD after being deferred EA, so it’s all about expectation management for me at this point.
