UChicago Double major of Physics of Intermolecular Engineering (Quantum track)?

Hi!

I wish to do a double major in Physics and Intermolecular Engineering (Quantum Track) at UChicago. Can someone please give me insight into the various career opportunities or tracks one can pursue with this? I am mostly interested in pursuing a career in Astrophysics or Particle Physics as of now, however, it might change and hence I am doing the double major.

As for Chicago’s molecular engineering program in particular, here’s what they say on their site:

It’s a fairly new program. So, it wouldn’t have much of a track record yet for alumni outcomes.

You could try contacting the department (ime_undergrads@uchicago.edu) for information about what recent graduates are doing.

Being an engineer myself, an undergrad degree in engineering is virtually unlimited in its opportunities for grad school or almost any profession.
