UChicago Early Action and Northwestern Regular Decision?

I'm currently a junior, but I've noticed that lots of colleges have been appear to be significantly more selective than in years before. Right now I want to major in Pre-Med and my top 2 choices are Uchicago and Northwestern. I'm not sure if I want to early action to Uchicago because I'm not sure if I can get in EA as opposed to ED at Northwestern which I know gives me a much higher chance of getting in.

Awards:
Won 3rd at a math/science regional competition
Qualified for nationals for same competition
Some kind of award for getting a 36 on the ACT

Demographics:
State: Illinois
High School: Large Public
Income Bracket: Mid-High
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Asian

Other:
My dad has a PhD from Northwestern and my mom has a masters from Northwestern. My older brother is about to graduate this year with a bachelor's from Northwestern sooooo this counts as legacy? right?

I'd appreciate hearing what you have to say!

You do have a very good chance ED to Northwestern.

Academics look great! Congrats on a 36 ACT-- that’s amazing!
Also, you should know that AP scores have little weight in an application decision.
4.0 unweighted is definitely to your advantage.

However, in my opinion at least, activities seam lacking. While I can tell what type of student you are (kind of, recs would complete that side of things), I can’t tell what type of person you are.

However, I’m sure your family’s connection would help, so you have a decent chance @ NW (high match to low reach)

UChicago is a low-mid reach.

“qualified for nationals for something competition”

I think you’d best say what it was? The league of extraordinary underwater basket weavers carries less weight than Intel finalist.

it was called TEAMS and its a nationwide science/engineering competition

Oh is it through TSA? (technology students association)

I think so

How did you go from regionals to nationals? In my state there’s a state competition

regional is only the mc and apparently they just used the mc to qualify for nationals
but state is mc and essay so we didnt get the essay results yet

lol aight your stats look excellent though and legacy only boosts those chancess
