UCI acceptance decisions

^Thanks for the heads up

Did you receive your results today? or were you speculating? Can anyone confirm this?

nothing here yet. is the portal also updated immediately?

im a transfer so I’m waiting for March 1st, but i have been hearing around that waves are coming out at the beginning of each week.

The acceptances last week were apparently to those invited to CHP. My son, who received admission last week, just got an email inviting him to CHP’s Honors Experience Day in early March.

Last year my daughter (now a freshman) got accepted on the first day, February 1st. She had friends still getting accepted all the way into the March. I had no idea they started acceptances so early but it was nice for her to hear so soon. She is NOT in the honors program but was highly qualified via GPA, ACT/SAT and class rank.

Good luck to all of you waiting for results! Daughter had an awesome first quarter at UCI and loves the school. For those who end up going, I hope you enjoy it as well.

EdSupporter, ask your daughter if she would consider applying as a returning student to CHP. It is really a nice program that gives you, among other things, priority registration. It is possible they might have missed your daughter the first time around. UCI is a great school and has a close-knitted atmosphere lacking in many other big campuses.

Here’s a good site:

[UC Irvine Office of Institutional Research](<a href=“Office of Academic Planning and Institutional Research - UCI Academic Planning and Institutional Research”>Office of Academic Planning and Institutional Research - UCI Academic Planning and Institutional Research)

scroll down to the student data section and find out the average sat scores/gpa for majors and colleges for uci in previous years

WOW! Congrats you guys… I’m astounded… Those are some outta the world stats for UCI…Haha. I didn’t know it was that competitive. Are there any normal people actually applying for UCI with average stats who are hoping to get in ? OR are there just people with like 4.5 gpas and 2300 sat scores…hahah… I’m a bit confused… Maybe I shouldn’t have applied !

So no one else got anything today right? hopefully i get mine soon otherwise i will probably have to go to a community college… i should have just taken easy classes and a few aps and gotten higher than a 4.0 instead of taking 7 aps and ~3 honors and get a 3.5 :/

Could the acceptances be by major? What majors are everyone that have been accepted so far?

Fncdad, thanks the info on CHP, but my daughter actually already has priority registration (a godsend, I know) through the disabilities office. I know the CHP is a great program and it’s great that your son was invited! I hope he enjoys his freshman year as much as my daughter has. It goes by FAST! They are already in mid-terms for winter quarter this week and next.

No problem, EdSupporter. I know a bit about the CHP program because my daughter is currently in it. She speaks very highly of it. UCI provides her with opportunities that, looking back, she probably would not have at other places. Hence, I am not at all surprised that your daughter enjoys the school.

are decisions coming out at 12 tonight?

What makes you think that? I wouldn’t count on it…

Anyone know when the next batch of admission decisions might come out?? Will it start again in the beginning of March?

Seems like they’ll release them whenever they feel like it - “It depends on what the campus decides to do this year.” (ms sun). It would be better if there was some sort of pattern like every week or two weeks…

I called the admissions office today and they would not confirm nor deny the rumor that another wave will be released this week, but assured that all decisions would be posted before the March 31st deadline.

The decisions are coming out this thursday on the 22nd by 9:00AM.

is that just a guess?

whoa, how do you know that? can you give us a link or something
