Accepted or rejected to UC?

Has anyone got accepted or rejected to a UC yet?

Some kids got into Honors program at UC Irvine. My son has only received supplemental apps. from UCLA and Berkeley.

UCR has admitted a good number of people, and like MindySue said UCI has admitted into it’s honors program. Most UC’s will start accepting in mid-march and continue for the remainder of the month.

So currently, uci is accepting students to their honors program?

UCI started regular admissions march first honorswas sent out in the first wave of acceptances during February

No, UCI started accepting people into H Program in beginning of Feb and it invited them to the H meeting or something, so I think the upcoming acceptances are for regular students. but I am not sure if you can somehow become an H student without having to be accepted earlier, like I mean I guess you can also choose whether to apply in their H program later after being accepted maybe?

UCI and UCSB usually accept students in Feb to the honors program.

Does uci leave rejections til the end? I know results have been flowing in, but I haven’t heard anyone I know get rejected yet… Is it possible they save rejections til the end? D:

yes late decisions are mostly rejected one but you can still be accepted too(less chance)

^ Source, please!

I think you are saying you have looked at late March decisions over a period of time, and there is a statistically significant number of rejections compared to acceptances in other time frames? How long have you been tracking this?

Just a question, what are the chances of getting in if you’re put on a waitlist? Also, the chances for an appeal?

Source?
I remember reading it from CC so I got it from what some people said
I will have to dig it out from the old threads I’d read
you know, like from people’s experience from the past years? maybe
If you want the source, I suggest google college confidential and type some key words. I think people are talking about this topic a lot so there must be many threads on this.

It is interesting to note that so far, to my knowledge, I have not seen any posts about UCI appeal letters for 2012. So I suppose I’ll have to do a bit more waiting to see what comes my way ;)

Yes and now it’s getting closer to the end of March like I said (to be more specific: like some people said on other threads) rejections come out late.
No Appeals yet = no rejections yet
However people already are talking about appeal letters at UCD and UCSD because they released their decisions altogether in a big pile, not like waves.
