Uci acceptance

Soooo I just got rejected from Cal. I am taking this as further indication that I’m meant to go to UCI. I just hope I get in. :frowning: A decision between Cal State Fullerton and SFSU wouldn’t be nearly as fun.

just rejected from ucsd. come on uci!

Political Science Major
GPA: 3.4
Tag: No
Transferring from a CSU

Accepted: UC Davis, UC San Diego
Rejected: UCLA, UCB…sigh
Pending: UC Irvine, UC Merced

I want to know already!!!

eff UCI

ACCEPTED AT CAL AND SD!

WOOT! DIE UCI!

… that’s nice.

have been stalking on this thread for a while…now i wanna say i can’t believe UCI is ganna be the last school i hear from!!

Same here, Fandie. Same here.

I got rejected from SD today too but I also just found out I was admitted to Cal… :frowning: I have no idea what to do now. I sincerely never wanted to leave southern CA but I don’t know how to say no to Berkeley especially considering my GPA (which I just found out is actually a 3.4 not a 3.6 because I had been counting all the CSU transferable courses too).

I don’t know what to do if I get admitted to UCI either :/

If you want my advice… GO TO CAL. Everyone I know who has gone there has fallen in love with it. Nor Cal is a lot more liberal and a lot more cold, and Berkeley has a lot of weed, but other than that I don’t think you’ll find too many differences from So Cal. Oh, and congratulations! I’m surprised that SD rejected you.

I for one will be completely content with UCI if I get in, but I guess you have to ask yourself if you’ll wonder how things would have been different if you had gone to Berkeley.

I think UCI is going to be rejecting alot of people this year. Last year UCSD let everybody in who had over a 3.3 and 60 units…this year they are rejecting people with 3.7s. I dont want to be a buzzkill but you guys should probably prepare yourselves/dont get your hopes up.

I just submitted my SIR to UC Davis because I am done waiting around and I know I aint gettin into Irvine with a 3.19gpa and no TAG.

Just joined a minute ago because I have a question. Once you get rejected from a certain school, is it harder for you to get accepted the next time you apply to that same school? I just got rejected from UCSD and I’m also waiting on UCI for their answer… I am freaking sad lol

I don’t think a past rejection has much bearing on a future application. If they see that you’ve had an upward trend since you last applied, that will actually help.

@lbc123 Yeah well… 3.7 with IGETC and prereqs done and I’m not giving up hope. There has to be SOME reason they haven’t rejected us yet. They could easily have sent us rejections with the last batch. I really don’t see any reason why I should be rejected from UCI, and considering the amount of people who were accepted on the very last day last year, i’m gonna hang in there.

At least you got into Cal! I’m waiting on SB and UCI and I have a feeling there are two rejections coming now…3.19 isn’t THAT bad. There have been many admitted with lower and no tag, but I suppose it depends on your major. I’m at 3.17, and I also am feeling a bit gloomy.

I got into ucsd but i wAna go to uci ne1 wAna trade?

Thanks Melanie dear, you’re of much help!

I refuse to lose hope, I’ve learned that you can attract your own reality and until i find out from Uci I refuse to accept defeat just yet… I agree with Melanie we could have easily gotten rejected through that huge batch of rejections sent out on the 27th. There’s more in store for us :)

Amen, Cupcakes.

@StateofMind You’re welcome! Someone earlier was saying they applied straight out of high school and got rejected, applied as a sophomore transfer and got rejected, then finally was just admitted as a junior transfer. It’s never too late haha.

I’m been out all day avoiding checking admissions -___-
So, it’s tomorrow…? No chance of extending deadline?

fisdkjgsddxncmnodslifhjoeld. I honestly didn’t expect to be waiting until the LAST DAY. I was seriously just expecting to get rejected quick and easy… but UCI is making it painful. lol
