UCI Honors vs. UCSD?

Hey! So I got accepted into UC Irvine’s honors program with an undeclared major, and I SIRed there, but today I was notified that I was accepted into UCSD’s Warren college from the waitlist. I am also undeclared at UCSD. I’m from San Diego, so I know the area really well and love the SD campus. I have no preference in terms of location/distance away from home since they’re both relatively close to each other and in good areas. Does anyone have any advice, tips, or thoughts on what I should do? Any help is much appreciated  I need to notify UCSD by Tuesday, May 10 of my decision.

Intended major?

If math, note that both UCSD and UCI have minimum GPA requirements to declare the math major (UCI being somewhat more difficult):

Other major may vary in difficulty to declare between the campuses. For example, computer science is not that hard to declare at UCI, but may be extremely difficult to declare at UCSD.

Since it doesn’t sound like your drawn (or opposed) to either, I’d stick with Irvine if the honors college comes with the perk of early registration for classes. College will go much smoother if you know you can get the classes you want, when you want them.

Uci honors is an excellent honors college, so the perks will come in really handy to navigate a huge university. Take advantage of everything

I agree that the honors college at UCI is very much worth considering. Having Honors College on your resume won’t look bad, either.
