Right now I'm torn between attending uci and cc. My main reasons for thinking of cc are the cost would be much more affordable and I don't know what I want to major in

A lot of people lose interest at the CC. I personally would advise you to go to a 4 year uni.

There’s nothing wrong with two years of a CC, especially if you want to sample different subjects and aren’t sure of your direction. If you maintain full-time status for two years you should be able to transfer to a four year school at that point, once you know what your goals are.

Im sure you already decided… but still I can’t help but ask if this a joke? If you’ve been given the opportunity to go to UCI then go there… Sure you might have a lot of debt later on… but you know in the long run, its worth it! You’ll get rewarded after you graduate with a job on your plate… the reward for CC might not be the same…

By skipping 2+ years at Irvine, you’re missing out on clubs, greek life, and other opportunities given by the school. If you wish to achieve president status for a club for example, you’re hindered compared to someone who has been there for 2 years already… Unless all of this doesn’t matter to you, go for the CC life.

Also, consider what CC you’re going to. It’s competitive getting into classes in CC around the LA area… Most people transfer after 3+ years unless you strictly planned your way through into finishing in 2 years.
