UCI Transfer 2013 Decisions

@SBVett thanks for the info! I noticed the admissions page wasn’t updated since the 1st of April so they really must be working on those. Good luck getting your syllabuses. Maybe you can get them online?

haha ill prolly work or do internships but all in all it will probably be a waste

@SoCal79
I was told not to TAG if major prerequisites are not met even if it was just one. I had emailed UCI’s admissions last Fall regarding that. Therefore, I did not tagged UCI. Instead, I tagged UCSB because I had met all the major prerequisites although just a different major.

Hiii. I am new to this! I am waiting anxiously for UCI as well :frowning: I already heard back from one UC, but I tagged with that other one. UCI is my top!!! Im counting down the days in April like there is no tomorrow. Has anyone heard anything?! What’re you guys’ current GPAs and stuff (Transfers of course)

my gpa: 3.46… though, I went out of state for one semester got a 3.39. and this gpa mixed in with my current Cali. Com. College gpa is a 3.46. My major is Philosophy. I tagged and was accepted into UCSB. (I couldn’t tag with UCI :frowning: )

@ouch i cant imagine the job prospects with a philosophy major, although i think you should do what makes you happy thus me choosing criminology.

Computer Science major here. I haven’t gotten an official decision yet, but I did receive an email reminding me to apply for the John Ichiro Yasuda Memorial Scholarship, which is offered only for engineering/CS majors. Does this indicate any sort of acceptance or does everyone get this who applied to engineering/CS majors?

Most likely massed emailed.

@ccstinacee I think your gpa is pretty good! Not a shoe in but definitely competitive! Unlike my low low gpa… :(

Oh and got that email too! Second time it’s come around but yeah most likely mass emailed and doesn’t mean anything significant.

I also got the email. I’m thinking everyone gets it who is studying engineering

Yeah I’ve checked a couple of times and the site still says it’s been last updated April 1st so I guess that’s why nobody’s heard back yet.

YES! I got my acceptance on myadmissions today! I know it has been a very long and difficult process for all of us so good luck to everyone and I hope you all get in!

GPA: 3.59
Major: Computer Science
Major Prerequisites : Yes
IGETC : Yes
Tag : No
Ecc : Vice president of one club
PS : Good
Ethnicity : Mexican
Gender : Male
Attending : Most definitely!

@lumlysumly Congrats dude!

Still nothing for me but that 9 A.M. bold post in red on the top of the page seems to be gone lol

Damn nothing for me :(((

Unless he’s trollllling :o

Congrats lumlysumly~
did u got the email first or u checked it from myadmission?

Still nothing for me, too. D:

Its interesting that you got a decision because before it seemed like whenever they send decisions it will say it was updated that day and mine still says april 1st

Somebody mentioned that they saw that last year they began to release decisions on April 5th. That’s tomorrow and a Friday, so maybe they will do that again. I remember UCSD sent their first batch last year on a Friday too, I think. Maybe they do that so you have the weekend to think it over lol, or at least the people working there send them Friday and take a break on the weekend before they work on more admissions.

@rickyseg… Im planning on changing to crim. I just started out as a philosophy major because it was interesting and a past teacher had inspired me. I am a pre-law student. Yes. Philosophy actually does wonders for pre-law. Some of the most competitive applicants…so I’ve heard? lol

I havent got anything from irvine yet either! the anticipation is killing mee
