UCI Transfer 2014 decisions

Still no decision, but my portal now shows a UCI Student ID #. Not sure what that means…

Anyone know if we will have to take an upper-division english class when we get there…? Ugh I hate such classes. I did igetc, but I can’t seem to find where it shows which class we need. I would like to take it over summer, but I am not sure which it is, or if we even need it. Any of the required classes in general I do not know about. I just want to start my major courses already!

UCI student ID # has been there since December when you first create your UCInetID…

@2016candles are you talking about the one on the top right under the log off button? cause that one has always been there

lol, the struggles

Lol! Dang it! I’m grasping at air right now!

Any day now

@Freetofly112‌ Let it be TODAY! :-w

I just wanted to say thanks to everybody posting their updates so far, I just found this thread after waiting (as patiently as we all can) for an answer.

My friend was admitted a few days back into UCI and just received a letter for Regent’s.

Me too, I got a letter today in the mail. @FinanceWiz‌

Honestly, what the hell is Regents? Lol. Well, I know it’s a scholarship, but what are the requirements, and what/how much is given to you?

@bhav007 Regents Scholarship is probably one of the highest “honorary” award/scholarship that a UC can give.
To be eligible you mush have a 3.8 GPA, have had submitted a letter of recommendation by January 8th to the undergraduate scholarship office. Also, average award is $7500 distributed throughout 3 quarters.

Oh I see, thanks for the info.

Oh wow so I had to submit something to them and they never even told me about it? I got a regents invitation for UCLA inviting me to send THEM a letter of rec but I never received anything from UC Irvine telling me about it.

No you don’t need to send them a letter of rec. Also, there is no gpa requirement for regents. You just get selected.

Ok I was just reading what SRJCEngineer posted, so I guess he was wrong? This whole thing is stressing me out because I have a 4.0 and feel like I should have gotten regents for Irvine since I got it for UCLA, but I still have not received an admission decision.

@dopecheez‌

That’s what I thought, but then I realized I got accepted to UCSB. I don’t really care about admission to Irvine. Maybe it would’ve been a cool thing to brag about and maybe I didn’t get chosen because outside of my GPA, I have nothing of interest. Well, don’t let it get to you is what I’m saying.

My daughter is 4.0, so far three UC acceptances and no Regents requests anywhere. Someone said there is a rhyme and reason and it isn’t always 4.0s. It would have been nice, but it is what it is.

I guess regents scholarships are different for every UC campus…I got my information from the UC Davis website.
