<p>Dude same thing…I sent them a mssg in mid march and still unopened. I called and they said it means they haven’t come across the evaluations or looked at yours yet. It’s so annoying. How are they Gunna look at the thousands that haven’t gotten decisions? They got less than a week! @librazebra</p>
<p>^ I sent message and they changed my major!! almost in 2 days…then a few days back I asked a question on the message center, they answered back the same day!!! I guess you guys should try it out again…</p>

<p>@challenging not true. Google their admission statistics, last year was 6.1%, the year before was 13ish%. It varies drastically from year to year.</p>
<p>Would it be smart to message them and ask them to add an alternate major? I never added one. </p>

<p>Hi guys, I hope that this message will provide some comfort and support to all those who are still waiting for their decision. I am a freshman attending UC Davis as a biology major. To be honest, I didn’t think I was going to get in to UCI as a junior lvl transfer because:</p>
<p>1) I am a freshman and have not taken much classes relevant to the Earth System Science Major
2) I am asian and its very competitive (esp with all the incoming asian international students)<br>
3) the new that just regulation that just pass is decreasing acceptance rates for asians
4) applied/filled my application/ wrote my essay 6 hours before the submission deadline to UCI. (*note: I did not apply to UCI spontaneously/just for fun- I am serious about it, it was just the idea of transferring back to my hometown UCI due to financial problems never occurred to me until my mom called me that my dad lost his job)</p>
<p>but I still got accepted in the end. So to all the parents and students waiting anxiously for their decisions, please have hope because if I got accepted under these circumstances, it is very possible for all of you to be accepted too.</p>
<p>QUESTION:
On a side note, what happens if you don’t fulfill all the requirements for your major. I am missing chem 1c. I was planning to take it in spring quarter but had to take the quarter off because I got into a bad car accident. What can I do? Please help.</p>

<p>Hello – Is anyone still pending for Computer Science?</p>
<p>Also, did anyone TAG? I’m curious as to what happens if someone (me) no longer meets TAG requirements. Can you still be accepted as a regular transfer admit? I may have fallen, but not too far, off the minimum GPA requirement.</p>
<p>Just called, they said my admissions counselor has been in and out of the state? And has been extremely busy with events? Decision still pending for me 8-| </p>
<p>@drew26. Still better than a rejection. My son is still waiting too … Did they tell you who your counselor is? Even as a parent. This is really hard to be patient. Since my daughter is going to UCI in the fall. It would be great to have them both at the same school … So the wait continues…</p>

<p>Is it too late to change my major? And is it a good idea to do it? I don’t want it to affect my admissions in a negative way. Currently applied as a business admin. major but I know its impacted at UCI and I definitely do not have as high as a GPA as I should…any suggestions??</p>
