UCI Transfer 2014 decisions

I just received a confirmation from UCI today. If you haven’t received your acceptance by now, it is very likely that you will be rejected. Oh, well!

What the hell are you talkin about? Def not true. People were getting admitted on the 30th

@drew26 I know it is hard to accept defeat, but lying to yourself isn’t going to change the outcome. It is better to come to terms with UCI’s decision and move on. Trust me, it will make your life a lot easier.

Sounds like you’ve accepted defeat @CollegeDropout1

we still have till april 30th

@drew26 Yes, I am expecting a rejection, but that does not really matter because I have already been accepted to UCLA and UCSC. Most people can’t say that!

“if you have not heard back yet, your still in the race”

In 2012 and 2013 people were getting accepted even on the 30th and even put on a waitlist.

@Firstgenstudent I picked my username because I knew no one on here would have it. Besides, I am not just pulling what I said out of thin air, UCI confirmed it.

@CollegeDropout1‌ who from uci did you speak with lol…because my friends got accepted at 3am and 6am this morning…some other people have really high GPA’s, so its not over until April 30th

Dude just get off this thread man. Go on the UCLA thread or wherever the hell you got accepted.

I never said that they stopped giving out acceptances, I just said that most decisions released from now on will be rejections.

@drew26‌ I agree, he’s only making people feel low and hopeless for no reason

Hey, guys. I just asked one of my friend’s roommate about when she got her transfer decision to UCI.

She said in March! Whaaat… The roommate is a psychology major by the way.

Edit: She transferred last fall quarter.

Is it too late to change my major? And is it a good idea to do it? I don’t want it to affect my admissions in a negative way. Currently applied as a business admin. major but I know its impacted at UCI and I definitely do not have as high as a GPA as I should…any suggestions??

@drew26‌

I am only telling you the truth to be helpful. I don’t get why you guys are being so hostile. If you think about it, I am just saving you a lot of heartache. Just because you really believe something is real, it does not make it true. No matter how much you want it to be true. I really hope UCI is not your first choice.

Im not sure if its too late, I changed my alt. major back in January so there was enough time. I believe you can send them a message and they possibly could change it @kchoi1021

@CollegeDropout1‌ you do realize a lot of acceptances and rejections are random. Uci looks at everything including your personal statement, circumstances, and ecs. They take anywhere from more than a minute to less than an hour per application. So yeah it is quite time consuming, Plus its the first time UCLA released their decisions before UCI. UCI is pretty behind on their decisions.

@drew26 how do i change the alt. major? Do i just email/message them from my message center?

We aren’t hostile, it just seems like to us, you already KNOW you aren’t getting in so you’re tryna make yourself feel comfortable by telling us we also wont get in. It’s cool bro, we’ll just wait and see. But I just called and clarified to me that its definitely not true especially since the councelor hasn’t even looked at my application or message.
