I have a bit of a problem. I just found out that my admission has been withdrawn from UCLA for Fall 2018. It says due to a drop in my GPA. I did have a horrible senior year (2 F’s, 1 D, and 2 C’s). I struggled with depression this year and my farger was also diagnosed with cancer. I don’t talk to anybody about these issues though. I know that they both affected my performance, but I don’t know what to do right now. Can anyone help?
You could try an appeal with an explanation of the issues that led to your drop in grades. If you knew you were going to receive the F’s and D in your courses, you were obligated to report them to UCLA prior to them receiving your final transcript. If you had made an effort to notify UCLA earlier, they might have been more understanding and gave you some options to keep your admission.
Best of luck.
You need to take care of your depression first, before you can even begin to take courses at UCLA.
