<li>Work harder than you did at community college. (assuming you aren’t taking like +18units a semester)</li>

<p>UCLA is on quarters (10 weeks) as opposed to semesters (16 weeks) so you in effect get 40% less time. That being said, it’s definitely an adjustment, but if you have a strong work ethic, you can do it no problem.</p>
<p>Based our own experience, it is way harder. May child took classes at local community colleges while in high school and thought the classes were even easier than some high school classes.</p>
<p>At UCLA, it is so competitive which makes it even harder. Since you got accepted, you must have what it takes to succeed. Keep working hard and best of luck!!</p>
<p>Some lower division classes are about the same. Some are not. That’s why you can only transfer community college credit to UC for only lower-division classes. But not all community college classes are transferrable, because only difficult classes can be transferred.</p>
