UCLA and UCB Admissions requirement

So when UCB and UCLA accept, the condition is that you must maintain an unweighted 3.0. Is that for each semester? Or is it for the whole school year?

My understanding that it is for the full Senior year 3.0 Cumulative UW with no more than 2C’s.
