I got accepted to both UCLA (business economics) and Berkeley (economics), not Haas, and now I am confused, because I do not know what is better for a business major (I set a personal goal to pursue a career interest of becoming an economic consultant with a minor in accounting). Can anyone, please, give me any links for statistics/facts or just share own experience? My email is Maria.Milova@yahoo.com
Thank you in advance and congratulations to everyone else!

this might not be the best reliable source, but it could be helpful

Perfect!!! Thank you so much!
I have been looking for this information forever.
I will send you a box of chocolate or a huge “Thank you” card )))
What would you do in my situation?
It is not Berkeley’s HAAS, it is just Berkeley’s economics (and I still have to get accepted to the major first).

Since it’s not Haas then go to UCLA Business Economics.

There are soooo many threads on this already. Basically, Biz Econ is econ with an accounting minor and some business classes from Anderson on the side. It’s the closest to business you’ll get from a UC, aside from Haas.

And, as you can see, both the job prospects and salary are very similar for Berkeley econ and Haas grads. However, this could be due to the fact that over half of the people at Haas double major in econ.

I have read the first 11 pages of threads on this topic (for different majors) and I still have not found the one, where people argue what’s better just Berkeley economics (NOT Haas) or UCLA business economics. If you have seen any, please, link me!!!
Thank you.
