i just got rejected, decisions are def are rolling throughout the day

ughh.. are you seirous superman??! i feel for you man... what are your options now?

well honestly didnt think i would get in because of the preqs. UCSB is the best school ive been accepted in, and i'm waiting on UCSD, UCI, USC, Chapman, and Occidental.

i my top school is USC and then it was UCLA

deym, i'm sorry to hear that, but honestly after reading this i feel like my chances are slippin' as well... 80 out of 700! I'm now thinking I shouldve considered this school to be my safety (as it already is as i only app'd to ucla/ucb/g-town/penn/nyu(stern)) and app'd as a math-econ major or something... :(

meh, nvm i said that, lol. life is about risk and takin it!

Amen to that.

After reading the other thread, it's clear now that they release decisions by department and all at once. Maybe we can call the biz econ department tomorrow and ask when they'll start releasing it.

superman got his decision today and he's a biz econ guy.

yeah, but he was rejected because he didn't finish calculus, just like AJ, who had a 4.0 but didn't do 2 semesters of calc. So they weren't even eligible for the major and were rejected before everyone else.

i wasnt rejected before everyone else i just got rejected today, many people have been rejected the past couple of days, i really think its just on a complete rolling basis

But among all the biz econ applicants, there haven't been any admits, and the people who got rejected had major requirements missing...

UCLA is not releasing by department. Some comm majors have been rejected, but there is plenty of comm majors still waiting. Also, my friend who got rejected for comm had her major requirements finnished.

is ucla biz econ more competitive than berkeley haas?

JL, NO, hAAS is more competitive.

everybody,do you think LA's BIZ ECON is better than BERKELEY's Econ?

three of my friends were accepted into Biz Econ at UCLA on wednesday so i don't think the theory that they haven't released them yet is valid.

do you know their stats?

linda_weng, both schools are well regarded for business, but I think Haas has a better (more comprehensive) undergraduate business program. Here are last year's admission statistics for Haas: http://www.haas.berkeley.edu/Undergrad/statstransfer.html

As you can see, it's not easy...

thanks a lot for telling me this.hmm, but if compare w/ Berkeley L&S 's Econ, is LA's BIZ Econ better?

Sorry I thought you were comparing both schools' business majors. This is a toughie since Berkeley's L&S's econ is tough to get into, and normally, people compare Haas to Biz Econ, and Berk Econ to LA Econ. I hope someone can answer your question soon linda...

I thought that UCB econ had and advantage over UCLA econ, just because of the reputation, but UCLA biz econ would make up for that, since it's a highly reputable program. So I guess both, UCB econ and UCLA biz econ are pretty close together in terms of reputation and quality of the program.
