Woot ! I got in ! I can't express how relieved i am, after yesterday's surprise rejection from Berkeley.

These are the only schools i applied to:

GPA: 3.94
Accepted: UCLA Biz Econ
Rejected: Berkeley (Econ)
Pending: Georgetown(McDonough), Penn(CAS), NYU(Stern)

congrats reachin, well deserved

still nothing for me.

Thanks. :)

You might try e-mailing them and giving new information. I e-mailed them (but not Berkeley where they rejected me :o) on Friday and said I received my high school diploma since the time i applied.

I mean just the fact that your app hasnt been given a decision yet means you still have time to strengthen yur app by giving new information (and showing interest).

Also, i wonder if they know about berkeley rejects and waited until ucb decisions were posted.

hm... the only things i have since my application is
1. internship (crappy)
2. winter quarter grades (gpa went up .02)

do you think i should email thehm with this new info?

damn... i'm having so much trouble finishing / going to classes. I'm so eager to transfer out that i think my grades are going to drop :(

it wouldn't hurt and if your intent on going to ucla then you should definitely do it. i wish i had done the same for berekely. i wouldn't worry too much about your spring grades (unless your getting C's or worse).

i'm considering whether i should appeal berkeley's decision (although i'm very very happy about UCLA, i just can't picture myself at the school -- i'm from so. cali, even if it is the biz-econ major.) I wish i had sent in more information. :o

okay, i've sent the admissons the email.. i hope this will sway them.
And i'm totally worried because it'll drop my GPA and my GPA is going to transfer =(

thanks for the advice

hey hobo still no reply yet? I checked for UCLA earlier in the afternoon and finally got the rejection. Can't pick between UCD, UCR, or UCSB still...and no one replied to the thread I posted earlier.

Hobo you and i are the only people still pending for UCLA right?

which ucla email did u send it to?

I got into UCLA
GPA 4.0 business econ! YEAH

yay congrats

nothing for me............

please, ucla,, when is the final date for torturing?
