I guess the commute question was kind of silly and yes, I live in So Cal. LOL

64 minutes to go guys !!!

1 more hour (approximately). Going to take a nap. Can’t stand the wait ;_;

@Aerocollege of course on campus

Anyone know if UCLA also sends out emails when the decisions are posted, or if they just post to the decision website?

@2018dad isn’t D already in with a Regents invite?

UCLA sends out emails a day after decisions are posted.

Nothing yet, right? Does 4:04 PM count as evening??

are you guys even sure it comes out 5 pm pst. or just a guess

Good luck everyone!! I lived in LA for awhile before moving east, but I’ve always loved it at UCLA so really hoping to make it.

Just out of curiosity (and to divert the anxiety a bit), what are all of you interested in as a major or focus? My primary area of focus is currently biology, but I’m also intrigued by math and neuroscience.

I hope parents are letting their students log in and see the result and not taking away their (possible) big moment that they have worked for! (Or sneak in and peek if they aren’t home and you can’t stand it anymore but don’t tell them you did - ha!)

They came out around 5:00 PM last year.

Im so nervous ! Do we recieve an email prior to the portal telling us our admission status has changed?

I think the emails come out a few days after results are posted.

@samcmanus

@collegeduuude I applied as an english major do you think thats an impacted major or difficult to get in as?

Glad the portal hasn’t crashed yet!

UCSD’s crashed hours before results were posted-- hopefully indicative of no complications with UCLA’s portal

@CADREAMIN
I’m letting my daughter login and check her result. It’s hers not mine. She’s a Regent invitee, but nothing is 100% sure until you see the “Congratulations” banner. I think back in 2008/2009, there were reports that some Regents invitees were rejected.

@CADREAMIN - I too will wait until my son checks. But he doesn’t post here on CC, so sometime tonight or tomorrow I’ll post to the results thread for future applicants to see. Good luck to all! See you on the other side.

@Prosaicminds I don’t think an applicant’s major will ever be a make or break influence on the admissions decision. I think it aids in creating a holistic picture of the applicant as a whole and it also helps the school gauge which majors might be most popular in that class. So I wouldn’t worry about it affecting the outcome either way. That being said, if you’re a prospective English major, I’m guessing you had some well written and thoughtful essays so that will most likely be appreciated. Good luck!

I don’t think English is an impacted major at UCLA.
