Really, @kishorN? Maybe not the best forum for this information. Many kids are hurting right now.

Rejected…

Would my major have made a difference? I applied for Business Economics and then found out on their website that the average UW GPA for that major is 3.96… that’s crazy…

I had a 2120 SAT score and a 4.17 UC GPA, 1st gen urm… I wonder if applying for psychology would have made a difference instead(?)
I was waitlisted at UChicago so I was really really really hoping I’d get into UCLA… oh well not a fun day :(

@kishorN go brag about your daughter elsewhere please

Also, my essay was messed up when I submitted it… It had like a?'a in random spots all over… kinda messed the whole thing up… would that have made a substantial difference?

D rejected–4.19 GPA, 2100 SAT, 31 ACT, many ECs including Girl Scout Gold Award, from CA–only applied to UCLA and UCD of the UCs; got in at Davis. Will go to Cal Poly SLO.

It seems that several posters above got the Regents invite, but none have been awarded it. I wonder if UCLA has not yet made the Regents decisions?

I AM SO HAPPY OMG. ACCEPTED :’))))))))))))))))))))))))))

…too excessive? lol

waitlisted. Not complaining because I thought I was definitely going to get rejected but I guess my personal statements were very strong…
1940 SAT
4.15 UC GPA

Rejected with a 33 ACT and 43 IB Predicted. International Student. Chemical Engineering. Kill. me. now.

Congrats to those accepted! To help future applicants, post your stats here:

@kishorN congrats to you and your daughter! Totally understand her dilemma.

@2018Dad Did she get the regents’ scholarship?

to those who have been asking - the people listing rejections are not on a waitlist. If you are on the waitlist, you still have a small chance of being accepted in May after they determine their yield.

D rejected which was kinda expected

@Lilliana330 Did your friend who applied to L&S (or whatever it’s called … the non-engineering one) get in?

Accepted.
Now, I’m really happy and honored to have been accepted to all 4 of the UC’s I applied to (Berkeley w/ Regents, Irvine w/ Honors, San Diego and LA), but I’m really hoping to go out of state and I haven’t been accepted to a single private school thus far (I really need that $$$).
So, good luck to everyone still going through this hellish process!
We’ll hopefully all end up where we’re meant to be.
