UCLA Class of 2018 Official Decisions/Discussion

My daughter got in! I can’t believe it: UC 3.75 UW, UC 4.08 W, 1950 SAT. Neuroscience. Waitlisted at UCD, in at UCSC and UCSB. Not sure I understand their admission’s process but we are excited!

Accepted! I just learned from the acceptance letter that UCLA had 86,000 applicants this year, the largest number of applicants in the nation. Wow.

Waitlisted… for comp sci
4.0 UW, 4.37 UC GPA (10-11) = 4.575 GPA. 32 ACT

@soaringcicada Haven’t heard from her yet!

:( my essay had all the a? thing in it too which sucks… guys anyone knows if everyone gets waitlisted?

Got in wit h regents!!!

For all those who want to know regents status, create a ucla log in and then check ur financial aid. The first page that came up said congratulations and I have been chosen as a regents scholor. It was also included in my award letter.

@Lilliana330 Thanks for the update. I thought it was nice of you to think of it that way (for her) … enjoy usc!

@AznBoy1996, I understand your pain, that was not the intention. Hope you get accepted to even better college.

She hasn’t checked her FA awards yet. She went to her EC so she’ll check it later tonight.

@soaringcicada I really hope she got in, although it doesn’t look good for our school this year (rejections everywhere on Twitter :o) Will update & thanks! :)

REJECTED :(

Rejected! But I really don’t care 'cause 2 minutes after I got the rejection letter, I GOT INTO FREAKIN SMITH COLLEGE  Sort of made up for the upsetting 2 minutes of heartbreak Hahah BUT EVERYONE WHO GOT REJECTED - remember, there’s a reason why you weren’t chosen. The admissions officers think it’s for the best and know the kind of students they accept. If it’s meant to be, it’ll be. Good luck to everyone with their college decisions and whatnot. Ciao UCLA! I’m out!

My friend got in!!! MY GOD IS REAL <3

Why would you apply to UCLA if you don’t want to go? People…

Rejected. :frowning:
I don’t understand…

@CollegeBound1216 Sometimes people are iffy/unsure about a school for many reasons (financial reasons are an example). That doesn’t mean they can’t apply. Anyone who has even the mildest interest in UCLA has the right to want it as an option.
