It’s not 7% admit rate, 5700 is the amount of kids they expect to actually enroll in the school. Admit rate was the same as last year, about 18%.
I was accepted with an 1800 on the SAT for pre-political science; though, I had very solid extracurriculars and had two internships. My personal statements were very good; I wrote about my time at CA Girls State and a tennis final. So, there is hope for those lower SAT scorers.(:

Reflection
I was pretty shocked when I got rejected from UCLA. Not because I thought I was too good for the school, but simply because I felt like if I didn’t get into UCLA, I had no chance of getting into Berkeley. I’m pretty darn ecstatic to have gotten into Berkeley though! UCLA is an amazing school so Congratz to those who have been accepted and good luck future applicants!
Strengths:

Weaknesses: ACT scores, didn’t take or submit any SATs or SAT II.
