Historically ucla WL decisions have come out in the morning around 8 pst

same here just checked it. I got it denied as well. Tbh i didn’t really have much hope it was more than anything out of curiosity.

I was confused because WHY ON EARTH are they even reading appeals when they haven’t accepted IS waitlist applicants. Doesn’t the waitlist always have the priority over appeals??

because your appeal could be accepted but only end up on the waitlist.

Waitlists and appeals are totally different. They have to read the appeals because there may be some new and compelling information that would have made a borderline applicant admitted. For WL applicants, you just need to sit tight and hope a spot opens up for your major.
