UCLA Decision Countdown

i'm just ticked at the fact that they shut down the site 12 hrs a day. Argghhhhh.

Have anyone tried creating a pin with URSA?

i thought the anticipated date was April 27th? Oh well, finding out sooner is the better. It's just soo funny how UCLA always has to post before Cal. Anyways, I hope I get in and good luck to everyone else!!!!!

I got my UCLA admittance almost 5 days after my Cal admittance, years ago!

Ohh wow....it has started !! Good Luck everyone !!!

ive tried creating a pin... and got the msg saying:
URSA Online is not available to you at this time.

blah

Darn i got the same thing. No point in staying up all night, i guess i haven't been admitted.

URSA, you will all find, is never available. Except for Friday to Saturday, 9PM-5AM, you might as well get your info in person from Murphy.

I kid, I kid. But seriously.

i thought that it was available at all times, except for those times.

Edit:
Q: When is URSA OnLine available?

A: Access URSA from Sunday 6 p.m. through Tuesday 1 a.m., and from Tuesday to Saturday 6 a.m.–1 a.m. Pacific Time.

tempted to try, but i'll wait and find out the normal way. don't wanna jinx anything. :)

I am going to wait for the regular way, too!

OMG GL everyone....so nervous.....its 230AM and i think im going to stay up until 8 =X

You know if they really wish to close the site, they could pick better hours! Say close it maybe 12am to 6am?

I agree. Eight to Eight is such a long time first of all, and the hours are crappy. Does anyone know why they close it every day anyway?

I'd suggest it has to do with saving server bandwidth.

You are speaking a foreign language to me.

El problema es el dinero.

In other words, it's kind of like shutting off a very expensive lightbulb. Bandwidth is amounts of data being passed back and forth between your computer and UCLA's server. Bandwidth costs money. Shutting it down keeps paranoid transfers from checking at 5AM when it's not going to be updated anyway.

smart :):):):):):):):):)

Well, it's 8:26pm and nada. Tells me to come back later, of course.....No worries.

Michelle, you meant AM. ;)

You've lost it!

Anyways...here is to hoping people get in, but not those that can't decide if UCLA is their top choice. Seriously. My hope is that for all those that KNOW UCLA is their top choice, for all others...bah!
