UCLA Decisions are up!

YAY! I also got accepted! ;)

my first rejection ! :)

Acceptted

3.45 GPA
1680 SAT
480 History SAT2
580 Math 2 SAT2
Class president 3 years
Student Council 3 years
GSA president and founder 2 years
Varsity tennis 2 years

Dont hate. Lol. Poor perfect score no personality do nothing but study perfect score SAT kids who got rejected…

Holy **** we may have a record here

Accepted!

That was intense. I read the email and got insanely excited but then took about a minute to look through my inbox to find my UC application ID. Than it took another 30 seconds to type in the info to log on (because I was so excited). That minute and a half was insane, lol.

figuresk8ting i feel you

sigh Thanks apHELP. It’s good to know I’m not the only one who’s surprised and hurt.
It just doesn’t seem real.

I feel the exact same way, its seems not possible. fortunately i may still have at chance at cal

Yeah, hopefully, I’m waiting on Cal too, and UCSD.

accepted! and i got the regents scholarship too, which was a nice surprise…XD

Rejected. 4.3 GPA, 1920 SAT, tons of community service. Was my dream school through my junior year, now I’m just crossing my fingers when it comes to San Diego.

accepted, great

My email was in my spam folder, btw.

my first Acceptance letter!
Except UCLA is so Expensive for out of state… i doubt i can go :frowning:
But hey, hopefully this is the first of many acceptance letters!

Accepted! Although it wasn’t really a surprise seeing I got the likely letter from HSSEAS.
Congrats to all!

Rejected :(

GPA: 3.67 UW, 4.33 W
SATs: 770 M, 760 CR, 790 W (2320 T)
SAT IIs: 770 Math 2, 650 Chemistry (lol)
AP scores: 4 Chem, 4 APUSH, 3 Physics B
ECs: 4 years MUN (only gotten gavels and Outstandings, never blanked), president of Peer Assistance Leadership, over 400 hours of community service in two different clubs

First generation student too. I’m guessing I should have taken some more SAT IIs because I know I could have gotten at least 700 in Chem and APUSH. Other than that, I would have to say my GPA is the weakest part of my application, though I’m not too upset. I never really considered UCLA, but I wonder if this is an omen for my other schools (Cal, Chicago, Hopkins).

@moneyman61: How incredibly rude. Avoid posting altogether if you have nothing else to say. I won’t stoop myself to your level and say anything else.

@fellow rejectees: There’s still Cal and SD  (already know I’m in at SD, but again not one of my top choices). Personally I’m only really considering Cal and SD out of all the UCs, but would like to pass them up in favor of one of my top private choices. Within the coming days we’ll all know! Good luck!!

Very similar stats to you (Very high SAT scores, not as high GPA), and ~half a dozen APs (all 5/4s). Very strong focus in science/business for ECs, as well as over 400 hrs of CS. Although there have been cases last year in which several people at school were only accepted to Berkeley, not LA. What’s frustrating is that while my uw-UC GPA is somewhat lower than the admit average, my w-GPA is actually higher, as well as my SAT (considerably).

Haha, this thread totally reminds me of applying to companies and getting job offers/rejections…

Good luck everyone!

Rejected on my birthday…w/e. UCLA is cool but I think I’d prefer UCSD or UCB (maybe OOS). Nothing crazy 4.0 GPA 2140 SAT pretty rigorous curriculum. That’s life =).

@ADHDFTL, happy birthday!
