You guys, don’t worry about it. UCLA gets significantly more applications every year than any other school in the nation.

And for those of you who are waiting for Berkeley, here’s some hope: Last year their acceptance rate was 5 (almost 6) percent higher. Good luck! (:

Stats:
SAT I: 2140 (800 W, 740 CR, 600 M)
SAT II’s: 730 Lit, 710 USH
GPA: 3.85 UW, 4.6 W
RANK: Top 1%, 8 out of ~530
EC’S: Screenwriting, creative writing, film, etc. All long-term, passionate, and with substantial work gone into them.

Congrats to everyone else who got in as well! I’m so excited! :D

I didn’t apply, but ~ 30 or so people from my school have been accepted and quite a few have equal/somewhat lower stats than a lot of rejected people on this thread. What gives? Almost no one from my school got in last year… this year it seems like they take anyone who has over a 4.0. I didn’t think UCLA was like that.

Daughter was rejected today for Eng school. Not totally unexpected as she knew competition was keen. But what hurts is friends who applied for “business” with lesser gpa/sat/course load got in. And as a dad it hurts that I cant do anything to make her hurt go away. But she is strong and will persevere. Good luck and congrats to all who were admitted.
