You see it in the UCLA prospective undergraduate Scholarship Portal
Wait what did the email say
did you sign up for this portal?? Or did you get it
Everyone can see Regents in the scholarship portal, but you can only access it if you got an email with a code
For anyone whose wondering this is what the email said:
Dear ______,
I would like to encourage you to apply for the UCLA Regents Scholarship for the 2021-2022 academic year.
The UCLA Regents Scholarship represents one of the highest honors awarded to entering students at the University of California and offers a merit award of $2,000 per year for two years. Scholars who have additional financial need, based upon a review of their FAFSA, could receive additional scholarships and grants to cover their demonstrated need.
Please note that this invitation to apply for the Regents Scholarship does not constitute an offer of admission. UCLA’s Faculty Committee on Honors, Awards and Prizes will evaluate Regents Scholarship applicants and select the recipients. Regents Scholarship winner notifications will be included on the Provisional Award Letter (PAL) the second week of May.
Hope that helps with anyone who wants to know!
I signed up for this portal when I got the alumni scholarship email because thats where you submit the app
Guys I just received an email from my college’s transfer center supervisor. What do you think it means? No additional information was provided except a zoom link.
My CC does those meetings with different college reps all the time. It’s just for prospective students to ask questions and go over their transfer plan with a rep from a college they’re interested in.
Could you share what the email says? Or is it literally just an email of a photo lol
Yes it’s just a link and a photo. Very UCLA style… an email says nothing
Yeah I think maybe it’s for all future transfers.
So does anyone know the timeline between regents invite and admission decisions?
Typically they send regent invites one week before decisions are released.
Congrats to the Regents recipients, that’s awesome! Quick change of topic, did anyone apply to UCSB? I got accepted as a philosophy major, I’m wondering how good of an indicator this might be in comparison to UCLA decisions!
I got into UCSB
congrats!!
There’s no real “indicator” as UCLA & UCB judge differently than other UCs. Congrats tho!
I’m also accepted by UCSB, hard to say the correlation but at least it means you have a good GPA as UCSB do not read essays.
that’s what I figured, thanks for the response!
