Does regents dropping today lowkey confirm decisions are dropping Wednesday next week then? I remember seeing that the trend is usually one week after a regents drop.
Yup! I’m the opposite example. Candidates like you are much better off with the holistic review process UCLA offers.
I pray you’re correct cuz I got one C that tanked my GPA but my whole profile is very strong.
sry can someone explain where we see that regents scholarship offer. is it present on our ucla portal, the uc portal, or a separate portal?
Try not to dwell on anything my friend. If you have excellent grades then I believe your essays should be stellar as well. I think the EC’s are just to differentiate applicants if they are VERY similar. Can I ask your major?
it’s the prospective student scholarship portal, something separate. you have to sign up to fill out the general application and to view any other scholarship opportunities you may be eligible for.
I think so. Wed of next week is better than Friday I guess
I received an email with a unique code. The regents scholarship is on everyones portal but only those who have received an invitation may apply. Hope this helps!
I know this is rather late to be asking but does UCLA have a GPA cut-off for transfers? I know they take a more holistic approach than schools like UCSB but will good EC’s and stellar essays really make up for subpar gpa?
If you look at Uc transfer by major website you can see the stats for your major at ucla. For some they take gpas as low as 3.2, for others the average is 3.9
do u guys think i can still fill out the general application for the scholarship portal?
If I remember right there was a deadline to submit the application but if it still lets you doesn’t hurt to try or you can call and ask
Same as you, Poli Sci! Same GPA, income bracket, and leadership positions. Only difference is I don’t have any Ws yet and I’m not first gen (or a nationally ranked debater which is really cool).
Any Philosophy majors out here? We are in this together lmao
me!!
Hey Guys!
How selective is the transfers regent scholarship? Are all transfer applicants invited to apply? I just got the invitation to apply for it three and a half hours ago and I am curious in regards to how selective it is. If anyone knows any information on it beyond what the email states and would share said information with me I would appreciate it! Thanks, and again, good luck to you all with your admissions!
Unless some sort of freak event occurs, you got into UCLA! Only about 1-2% of applicants are invited to apply for the scholarship and that represents the top 1-2% of the applicant pool! That said, I think about 20% of invitees are actually awarded the scholarship.
i did honors at my cc and i filled out the tap form but still dont exactly understand how it works can someone explain it to me and is there a minimum gpa for it
also does it increase my chances of getting in i applied as a psychobiology major
Hey! Just asking, did you apply for UCLA’s Alumni scholarship?
