I was only offered loans :(

No grants or university scholarships. Man I hope that Alumni comes through or else it's going to be one sad day. :(

Does UCLA offer FSEOG? I'm a recipient of a Cal Grant and a Federal Pell Grant, but it looks like my EFC of $1600 is too high for a FSEOG, unless it's not listed on there for some reason.

It was also not mentioned in the PDF file they have, but it's listed on the Financial Aid website.

Also, does anyone know if checking or not checking the "interested in work-study or loans" option on the FAFSA affects the outcome on the ePAL?

Aieeeeeee...I'm anxious. :(

Will they tell us if we didn't get Regents' or is the lack of note on ePal all we get?

BackToReality

BackToReality--I imagine you'll probably get snail mail letter in a couple weeks...

The ePal guide in PDF is on the website when you log on to ePal. It is a link on the left, second one down, with a title like "Guide to your ePal."

Federal Work Study is only offered to certain income levels and financial needs; you may not get work study at UCLA, but may at a private school.

I didn't get a cent except loans. !@#$ Now I regret not having done the regent and alumni scholarships..

Edit: oh yeah are there scholarships that u could sign up once ur in UCLA? thanks if u could tell me

there's a scholarship resource center for you to look up outside scholarships... somewhat helpful.

if you get a 3.5+ gpa during your first quarter, you can qualify again for university scholarships (the same ones that you checked on your UC app)

otherwise, there's really not much scholarships for continuing students. you're only offered regents/chancellors/alumni as an incoming freshman.

What is the Chancellors Scholarship? How much is it for? What scholarships do yall keep saying you checked on the application? It was such a long time ago, I dont remember them.

yeah, for the uc apps, we checked boxes that applied to us for scholarships..do those do anything at all? I haven't seen any effect on financial yet b/c of them

Hey, my financial aid was just completed today. they sent an email notifying me.

I was eligible for a fullride because our family no longer has any income because of a death in the family.

Yeah they sent me an email and I checked and my aide is there.. .hey its a whopping $0.

I got a full ride with all their awards from the ePal i think o_O
my EFC on Fafsa was 0

To Laguna and RohanKonimitsu: you guys are lucky. So full ride-did you get the full ride in their scholarship section or in the grants? was there anything in the loans section?

Yeah 20k in loans O.o

i got about 12k in grants, 5600 in loans, and 2500 work study. what things can they make a bio major do for work study? something related to my major or tended career (like i read on their website) or am i just going to work in the kitchen and such?

LOL mayb u need to throw out the trash or something =

How did I end up with so much in loans?
