UCLA Official Countdown

I don’t see why UCLA would care about the creation of accounts that don’t have any ID numbers attached to them. Now if you attach your UC application ID this time and try and make yet another account with that same ID number, it may restrict you. I had no problems using the same information/email, though.

I regret wasting the login username I chose for the first account I made.

Philo. What does yours say?

when I click on the financial aid thing it just says no request. pretty much a message shows up saying there’s no financial aid for you atm or whatever

^ did you submit a fafsa philosoup? I didn’t submit a fafsa and it says that for me too.

yes i did iCarpet. I think it’s like that for anyone that hasn’t been given an award from UCLA.

Hey guys for sure friday admission decisions. Our campus has all the schools out and I asked the admission officer and she said Friday

Hmm…this is interesting. My award doesn’t show up on ursa either. Even though I applied with TAP and should be 100% admitted with my alternate major.

I was reading the ursa FA stuff and a lot of people who were admitted didn’t see their stuff until the day of their admissions.

so far we know of only 2 people that can see their award. and looking back in last yr’s thread, many people were able to see their award like 5 days before the admit day

If 2 people can only see their award then I wouldn’t sweat it. Also, this is just a theory and it has actually been disproved by several people in past threads.

I read that people were able to see their awards starting the 20th.

maybe UCLA know that many people try to find out by URSA, so they delay posting FA

Possibly…I think any speculation at this point is bad. It’s only going to cause more anxiety.

Hopefully all is speculation. Logged in to FAO and got no request as well. 3.95 gpa.

I should have never went into any of the UCLA threads! Now I’m caught up in all this hysteria. ):

true but once you create the account, it is really hard to not checking them

@philosoup
i would not worry about what the ursa site says. this is just a goofy way to waste time while we all WAIT. and the posts i have read contain all sorts of contrasting information. just entertainment for the next few days on my part. we won’t know “till the fat lady sings” as they say in showbiz. good luck!

@wizard55
I’m on the same freakin boat, theres virtually no way that I get rejected from my alternate major yet no FA on Ursa as of this morning!!!

@wcwei5800
or—maybe there are some sadistic techies sitting in a room watching us all login and laughing their heads off at us? there is another thread on this site with students discussing some 25% off discount coupon they received in the mail from the CAL student store—and thinking this is key to their admission. all very silly. but i hope we all get in and can laugh about this (more) later. i will definitely have a lot of free time after april 27th, won’t know how to entertain myself after decisions are posted!

@northbeach: I think the fun part is after the decisions (if they are acceptances)! Visiting, looking at potential places to stay, research, etc… or maybe I’m just weird. I was tentatively looking those up but I’ve completely banned myself from doing so in the final weeks because I don’t want to look at these things before I know, I feel like I’m jinxing myself.

@postsecret
yes, you are so right! we will all be very busy submitting transcripts and preparing to attend a new school. finding good, or compatible, professors is my main concern. and i will definitely be on here reseaching that. wow, the ucla deadline approaches!

@northbeach I see what you mean but if I were to find my aid award right about now my anxiety would go down by a 10 fold.

@philosoup
well, i can understand that. but it is good to remember that my award for UCSB took about two weeks to appear after i was accepted. same thing with UCSC. so who knows what order the financial aid office reviews applications? and one dude who mentioned on here that he already was accepted because he deferred his admission from last year, still does not have any FA showing on the URSA site. so no need to worry. and another student noted that last year their major was listed and then later she was rejected. even if they post our FA we might still get rejected.
